How to Watch the 2018 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo

The 2018 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo runs from Thursday December 6 through Saturday December 15. The Super Bowl of the rodeos features the top 15 earners from each of its seven events and is going to crown the 2018 champion.

If you want to watch the 2018 NFR on TV, CBS Sports owns the rights for the event. Live broadcasting of this year’s competition starts everyday at 10 p.m. If you want to watch CBS Sports online, it’s necessary to sign up with the account of your TV provider.

The National Finals Rodeo official website also offers its own streaming service, which also allows access CBS Sports via the NFR Sports Pass special package. At the cost of US$ 29.90 for the yearly subscription, you will also gain access to the CBS Sports events. A free trial period is available if you cancel the subscription before the initial seven-day period goes up.

Payoff for the 2018 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo

The 2018 National Finals Rodeo is set to take place at the Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, on December 6 through December 15. It marks the end of the season for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, and as such will crown this year’s champions in seven different events. The top 15 earners from each of those have been invited for the competition.

The total prize for the event is US$ 10 million, with the split happening between events and go-rounds. Each one of the participants will earn US$ 10,000 for taking part, which leaves a total of US$ 8,8 million still up for grabs. Every go-round will pay a total of US$ 676,923.08, with that amount set to be split among the events. That means the events will pay off US$ 84,615.38 per go-round.

The competitors will earn their share according to their placement on each go-round. First place gets 31%, which amounts to US$ 26,230.77. Second place gets 24.5%, US$ 20,730.77, while third place earns 18.5%, US$ 15,653.85. Fourth place pays off US$ 13,000, 11% of the prize. Fifth place takes home 8% of the total, while sixth place another 5% – US$ 6,769.23 and US$ 4,230.77, respectively.
