The Seattle Seahawks (7-5) are in prime position to return to the playoffs thanks to their three-game winning streak, combined with other results breaking their way. Tonight on Monday Night Football, they take on the Minnesota Vikings (6-5-1), who are in reasonably good playoff positioning themselves but could find themselves in some trouble if they lose to Seattle.
This is the second MNF appearance for the Seahawks this season, with the Week 2 game ending in a 24-17 loss to the Chicago Bears and their vaunted defense. Since then, the offense has been top-10 both in pass and run, and their recent hot streak comes at a time when the defense has been struggling. Minnesota has not fared well on the road, sitting at just 2-3-1, but they do have a formidable defense of their own, and Kirk Cousins can sling it to the likes of Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. The Seahawks will be without guard DJ Fluker and LB KJ Wright, but they do get LB Mychal Kendricks back from suspension, and ideally when inactives are announced, neither WR Doug Baldwin nor RB Rashaad Penny are listed on there.
Oh yes, and the Seahawks are wearing Action Green. Perhaps we’re in for another classic Seattle primetime performance at home.
